The Leicestershire and Rutland County Royal British Legion pipe band was renamed on 21.2.05 previously being known as the Quorn Royal British Legion pipe band , which was formed in January 2002. In June 2007, Tom Rooney joined the band as Pipe Major following Pipe Major Brad Yates' decision to step down due to work commitments. The band wears the Ancient Hunting Macrae tartan.

There are several 'learner' members in the band but there are still places available for both pipers and drummers.
